Georgia O’Keeffe: Circling Around Abstraction
February 10, 2007 - May 6, 2007

Georgia O’Keeffe: Circling Around Abstraction will bring together more than forty of O’Keeffe’s works in order to explore the fascinating ways in which O’Keeffe used circular motifs as a means of simplifying, organizing, and energizing her compositions in order to focus the viewer’s attention on the elements that she believed to be essential to her subject matter. This exhibition will travel to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe, New Mexico to celebrate The Year of O’Keeffe. The Norton Museum of Art will publish a catalogue in conjunction with the exhibition with essays by Jonathan Stuhlman and Barbara Buhler Lynes.

Organized by the Norton Museum of Art.
National sponsorship of this exhibition has been generously provided by Mrs. Shelby Cullom Davis. Local sponsorship of the exhibition has been generously provided by Mrs. Shelby Cullom Davis, Harold and Anne Berkley Smith, and The Priscilla and John Richman Endowment for American Art. Media Support provided by The Palm Beach Post, Palm Beach Daily News, WPTV NewsChannel 5 and WXEL 90.7 FM.
