Frequently Asked Questions

What area’s can we use?
You have access to the entire museum including the following spaces: The Great Hall, Atrium, Pavilion, West Courtyard, Sculpture Garden, East Maze and the theatre. Any child-based event will need to have an approved event flow.

When can we host our event?
Weekends are best, from 6:00pm-12 midnight.

What is provided in a base facility use?
For an evening party, you gain access the entire museum, security, maintenance and staff supervision for up to 3 hours and admission to the Museum's exhibition spaces during the cocktail hour. Pricing depends on size of group. A $250 security fee will apply for each additional hour. To include use of the Norton owned tables and chairs, a $300 set-up/breakdown fee applies. We have pricing for day time and evening rentals.

Can I bring my own caterer?
All food and beverage for events at the Norton Museum must be provided by our in-house caterer, Lyon Lyon. Lyon Lyon can assist in complete event planning including everything from linens, florals, lighting, equipment rentals and entertainment. Lyon Lyon will create a customized menu for your event, they can assist with Kosher options as well. Lyon Lyon (561) 832-5196 ext. 1191.

Do I need an appointment to view the Museum?
Please schedule a site visit with the Facilities Use Coorinator Tuesday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Museum schedules events up to one year in advance.

Who sets up my event?
All setup, delivery breakdown, etc. must be coordinated with the museum. All vendors are required to attend a walkthrough prior to the event date to review loading and setup procedures. A signed acknowledgement of the facility use guidelines for the museum is required from all vendors as well as a certificate of liability insurance.

May I decorate?
You may decorate, but it must be within your designated time, we do not allow live flame, dirt/soil, wall hangings, animals, helium balloons. All décor must be removed immediately following the event.  Please see Facility Use Guidelines for more information.
