Seasonal Internship Program

Norton Museum of Art seasonal internships offer students the opportunity to explore a specific career in the museum field.  Candidates for seasonal internships must be undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent college graduates. Norton Museum of Art internships are unpaid positions.  Seasonal internships typically run November through April.
Interns will:

  • Learn to work as professionals within the Norton Museum of Art and understand current museum issues;
  • Understand the organizational structure of a museum and develop knowledge of administrative operations;
  • Develop knowledge and skills related to specific areas of museum work – Administration, Fundraising, Curatorial, Education, Communications, and Membership – based on the intern’s interest and the Museum’s departmental needs.

Applications for seasonal internships are reviewed on a rolling basis. Send a cover letter, resume, and one letter of recommendation along with the completed Internship Application.
