Out of Shape: Bodies in Contemporary Art,

July 22 – November 2, 2008


The human figure in art carries tremendous significance. In different ways and through different periods, this subject has offered artists the most direct means of addressing the human condition. Out of Shape: Bodies in Contemporary Art is comprised of works from the Norton Museum Collection that examine the human figure in various media and techniques. Included in this exhibition are works by William Kentridge, Viola Frey, Duane Hanson, Yinka Shonibare, and Robert Rauschenberg.

The Norton Museum of Art is a major cultural attraction in Florida.
