Norton Teen Advisory Squad

Norton Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ)

The Norton is looking for dynamic young people, ages 14 – 17, eager to work with museum staff, teaching artists, and their peers for a fun-filled summer packed with amazing opportunities. As a member of the Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ), you will collaborate, innovate, design, and promote Art After Dark: Teen Night, a free event that features music, dance performances, workshops, art-making, and food.

Whether you are an artistic person, or just want to learn more about museums, TASQ wants to hear your creative ideas. The group will meet for two hours every Friday from June 16 through August 11.  Each member will be paid a bi-weekly stipend.

You will:

Meet artists, museum staff, and other teens interested in the arts.
Build creative, public speaking, and collaborative skills.
Create a group art project.
Attend a field trip to an arts organization.
Design and lead your own public programs during the Art After Dark “Teen Night” in August.
Receive art supplies, snacks, and community service hours.
Get paid $15 an hour. Work up to 20 hours for the summer!

Applications for TASQ are now closed, however if you are interested in becoming a Museum volunteer click HERE to download an application and submit to gutierrezd@norton.org.
