Norton Teen Advisory Squad

Norton Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ)

Looking to teenagers to give the Norton  a youthful perspective when it comes to programming, the Museum launched a pilot program early this summer called the Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ) comprised of 15 dynamic young people, ages 14 -17.  Collaborating with Museum staff, the group has been charged with planning Art After Dark’s end-of-summer bash -- Summer Send-off: Teen Night. The party, set for 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10, 2017, during Art After Dark, is free to the public and features youth-led activities, music, art making, and food. The celebratory night also will include an exhibit of architectural designs by participants in the Norton’s Afterschool Arts Outreach program, which provides visual arts instruction to underserved children and teens at seven community sites in Palm Beach County. The goal of this night will be to highlight the talented youth in our community through an authentic platform that elevates the voices of today’s youth.
