Artist and Italian immigrant Joseph Stella was inspired by American writers such as Henry David Thoreau and Walt Whitman. Borrow a copy of Thoreau’s classic, Walden, from the PBC Library System; after reading it, join the book discussion and gallery tour led by Museum and Library staff.
