Conrad Tao

Sunday, March 10 / 3 pm

Described by The New York Times as a musician of “probing intellect and openhearted vision,” pianist and composer Conrad Tao has performed throughout the world. In 2012, the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and the Department of Education named Tao a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts awarded him a YoungArts gold medal in music. These and other awards signal his status as a leading pianist of his generation, one who performs virtuosic masterpieces of the past as well as adventurous, new music by today’s composers.
