Enjoy activities from 12:30 - 4 p.m.
Join us every day to find new ways to explore the museum. Enjoy story time with a work of art, drop-in art activities, and even a digital scavenger hunt that will lead you on a journey through the galleries!
The daily schedule is as follows:
Noon – 5 p.m. / Drawing and games in the Central Courtyard
12:15 p.m. / Mini Book + Art
Listen to a story then look at a work of art. (In English and Spanish for children ages 3 to 6 and their caregivers)
12:30 p.m. Express Tours
Take a fun, 30-minute, docent-led tour that explores exciting artwork on view. (All ages)
12:30 – 3:30 p.m. / Mixed-Media Mash Up!
Experiment with different materials and methods in this hands-on art-making experience. Discover the various media artists use to make their work and learn how to create like them. (All ages)
1 p.m. / Live Performances
DJ Play Right creates soundscapes on Tuesday and Thursday. Miami-based break-dancing troupe No Bodies Crew performs on Wednesday and Friday. The group describes itself as “an urban entertainment experience,” and “a real street show, but with a PG-rated delivery.”
2 p.m. / Tours: Highlights of the Collection
Enhance your afternoon visit with a 50-minute docent-led tour of the Museum Collection or special exhibition. (All ages)
There’s plenty more on March 22 with the weekly Art After Dark program kicking off at 5 p.m. The evening includes music by the Sonny Daye Trio.
