Family Studio

Saturdays / 10:30am - 12:30pm  

Every Saturday, children ages 5-12, and their accompanying grown-ups, participate in a thematic tour, followed by a related art workshop. Each weekend is a new experience.

Limited to 25 children; $1 materials fee per child payable at the door.

Registration is required.

The Norton works to ensure that programs are accessible to all visitors. Bilingual and American Sign Language interpreters are available by request with at least two weeks advance notice before your visit.

    Revel in the artwork of women artist on view! In the studio make your own creations using similar materials represented in the artists’ work.

  • April : Piece It Together

    Explore the world of contemporary artist Nick Cave, then piece together your own sculpture by using unique found materials such as buttons, magazine clippings, bottle caps, fabrics, and much more!

  • May : A Sense of Place

    Families will explore diverse settings, looking at interior and exterior environments along with the feelings these areas evoke, then bring their own space to life by constructing a setting out of various materials in the studio.
