Art After Dark returns to its regular schedule tonight, with activities, tours, and galleries open until 10pm. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with us, we are pleased to offer a big Jazz Friday welcome to Grammy-winning recording artist Chino Nuñez and his Orchestra. This amazing ensemble performs two sets between 7 and 9pm. In addition, the Museum’s docents return to offer thirty-minute express tours at 5:30pm and 7:30pm; limit of 15 participants per docent, tickets by request at Visitor Experience Desk. Between 6pm and 9pm, you can also stop in for an Open Studio art activity that is fun for all ages and skill levels.

  • Jazz Friday / Chino Nuñez

    Pablo “Chino” Nunez is an extraordinary percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, composer, recording artist, band leader, and educator. The multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy award winner and nominee has worked with legendary figures such as Tito Puente, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Ruben Blades, Tito Nieves, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra and a host of others. Chino has performed in venues all over the world including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Montreal Jazz Festival, the Tito Puente Amphitheatre and Bellas Arte Performing Arts Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the Newport Jazz Festival. Join Chino Nuñez and his Orchestra as they perform in the Norton Museum of Art’s Goergen Garden.
