Family Studio: Craft, Culture, and Design

Saturday, May 30, 11 AM – 12:20 PM or 1 – 2:20 PM

Step into a world of pattern, storytelling, and tradition as we explore works from the Norton's Collection of Asian art, or selections from That’s Entertainment: Japanese Woodblock Prints and the Art of Leisure. Families will discover how artists capture daily life, nature, craftsmanship, and beauty through form, line, and design. After time in the galleries, we’ll head to the studio to create our own artworks inspired by what we’ve seen — connecting past and present through hands-on making.

Children ages 5 – 12, and their accompanying grown-ups, participate in a 15-minute spotlight tour, followed by a related art workshop. Each weekend is a new experience!

Space is limited; online registration required.
