Curator Conversations

Throughout the year during free, public presentations, Norton curators provide insight and context to exhibitions they have organized and art and artists they have studied and admire.

Her-story of the Norton

Assistant Curator J. Rachel Gustafson looks at the “her-story” of the Norton’s Collection and the representation of women artists. Rachel will discuss a range of artworks in the special exhibition, For the Record: Celebrating Art by Women, as examples of the museum’s engagement with and promotion of female-identifying artists. The past, present and future is female in this Curator’s Conversation.
