Leisure in the Garden: On the Occasion of the Lunar New Year

Christina Yu Yu is the Matsutaro Shoriki Chair, Art of Asia, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she leads a team of curators in overseeing a collection of more than 100,000 works from Asia and the Islamic world. Her talk explores images of literati scholars and noble women pursuing leisure activities in gardens throughout Chinese history, such as Pair of Jars with Women Enjoying Music in the Norton Museum of Art’s Collection.
