Malcolm Daniel is the Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), and a specialist in 19th-century French and British photography. Daniel oversees acquisitions and exhibitions spanning the history of photography from its birth to the present day. His recent exhibitions at the MFAH have showcased the work of Dawoud Bey, Fazal Sheikh, and Sally Mann, as well as an ongoing series, A History of Photography, selected from the museum’s permanent collection. Daniel will be joined in conversation about collecting photography for museums by Tim B. Wride, William and Sarah Ross Soter Curator of Photography at the Norton Museum of Art.
