The Biscayne Poet
Premieres at 5 pm on the Norton’s YouTube channel
The Biscayne Poet performs spoken word along with musical accompaniment in the Norton’s sculpture garden.
“These poems are about a love for people and a love for places, two things that are hard to come by in Covid times. The first piece is about my birthplace, Manhattan, the capital of the world, and it’s also about Miami the city that made me who I am. It's about a longing to return, to revisit and rediscover your hometown especially after being on Covid lockdown. The second poem is about love, lost and found, about the vivid memory people leave imprinted in our hearts. About the happiness, we feel when we realize we have been a vessel and a witness to a stream of unconditional, open-hearted love.”
