Sounds that Inspired Them: American Modern Artists and Music

This unique multi-media program includes art images, video and audio clips, live piano performance, and narration created and performed by concert pianist Leslie Amper. The program features music by Bach, Schubert, Gershwin, Beach, Davidovsky, and Granados, related to works by 20th century American artists in the Norton Museum’s American art collection, and the special exhibition Joseph Stella: Visionary Nature.

Leslie Amper's multimedia performances related to the visual arts have been sought after by museums and colleges nationwide including The National Gallery of Art, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Pittsburgh Frick, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Chautauqua Institution, California State University East Bay, University of Washington and Carnegie Mellon University.
