In this four-session workshop, Susan Wilders teaches the authentic Chinese brush-and-ink style of painting depicting traditional Chinese subjects. Participants will be introduced to traditional brushes, paper, and ink to learn fundamental strokes related to Chinese calligraphy before creating objects such as bamboo, orchid, chrysanthemum, and plum blossom. Explore the medium, as well as the history, philosophy, and composition behind this centuries-old tradition. Wilders taught at the Morikami Museum in Delray Beach and at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach for 17 years.
