DREAMLAND: Intriguing Worlds of the Subconscious

The Norton Museum of Art, in partnership with Palm Beach County schools, welcomes you to the 2024-2025 student art exhibition in the Chris and Bernard Marden Community Gallery. Artworks in this exhibition were created by middle and high school students who celebrated the centennial anniversary of Surrealism through their own creative perspectives.

The artworks showcase varied approaches to Surrealism, stimulated by the world of dreams and the power of the subconscious. Students were asked to step back from traditional techniques and employ methods to express feelings rather than rational ideas.

The Norton Museum of Art is thankful to all school administrators and teachers from public, private, charter and parochial schools for supporting the arts in education. The Museum is also grateful to all Palm Beach County students who decided to explore this year’s theme emphasizing the elements of chance, the imagination, and the creative process.

School and Teacher Programs are made possible by the generosity of the William Randolph Hearst Endowment Fund for Education and Outreach Programs.
