La Florida: Flowers in Chinese Paintings
Just as Florida is known as the "Land of Flowers," China has long been celebrated for its rich floral beauty. For millennia, Chinese artists have depicted flowers across a wide range of media. This series of two exhibitions features paintings by several prominent artists from the 17th to 19th centuries, showcasing a variety of styles — from meticulous realism to more expressive abstraction. Beyond their visual appeal, these works reflect the profound symbolism and cultural significance that flowers hold in Chinese tradition.
