Mexican Modernism

Educator Packets provide pre-visit, during and post-visit tour materials for select special exhibitions. The packets explore big ideas and include art and artists information, questions to guide in-classroom discussions, and art, movement and writing activities. Packets are designed to connect to curriculum standards across subject areas.

Modernidad Mexicana

La Guía de Maestros proporciona materiales para preparar a sus estudiantes antes, durante y después de su visita a exposiciones especiales seleccionadas. Estas guías exploran temas e ideas que incluyen información de arte y artistas, preguntas para guiar las discusiones en el aula y actividades de arte, movimiento corporal y escritura. Estos recursos están diseñados para conectar a los estándares curriculares en todas las áreas temáticas.

Downloadable Art Posters

Posters focus on works of art in the Permanent Collection and give information, questions, and activity ideas to utilize in your classroom. Each poster focuses on a theme related to the work of art and a specific subject area such as Mathematics, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Visual Arts.  

Norton Museum of Art YouTube Educator Playlist

The educator playlist, found on the Norton Museum of Art YouTube Channel, features professional development videos for educators, inquiry-based discussions about art for students, and artist and program highlights. The Norton hopes these videos invigorate your practice and provides resources to utilize with students in the classroom.  

FREE Admission

The Norton values its partnerships with schools and educators, respects and admires the essential role of teachers, and is delighted to offer Florida educators, pre-K through college, free admission with presentation of a valid school ID.

Professional Development Opportunities

The Norton offers free professional development opportunities and K-12 educator events throughout the year that provide teachers with creative ways to help students connect with art using the Museum’s collection in conjunction to Florida State Standards. Sessions can include gallery exploration, interactive activities, discussion, and ideas that can be implemented in the classroom. These events are also a great time to socialize and learn more about the Museum!

K-12 Programming

The Museum invites all K-12 audiences to engage in and explore the Norton collection through themed tours that connect to Florida State Standards.

After School Arts Outreach

AAO is a year-round, creative youth development program that provides significant out-of-school arts experiences to Palm Beach County youth, ages 5-18. 

Family Programs

The Norton offers an array of programs that encourages children and adults to learn about art together
