Fashion designer Emily Mayer has worked in the industry and taught at the High School of Fashion Industries in New York. In this all-levels workshop (ages 16 and older), Mayer introduces the basics of draping based on signature garment designs found in Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern. Through time spent touring the exhibition, sketching and conceptualizing in the galleries, observing demonstrations, and draping on a dress form, students will learn how to craft their own conceptual garment.
