Adult Workshop: Poetry

Galleries and Classrooms

Participants will write their own poems and draw inspiration from works of art in the galleries, including Noise Number 13, by E.E. Cummings, feature in the special exhibition, At The Dawn of a New Age: Early Twentieth-Century American Modernism. Stacie M. Kiner is a former fellow at the Vermont Studio Center and Hannah Kahn Memorial Award recipient. Her poems have appeared in The Charlotte Poetry Review, Madison Review, Comstock Review, Meridian Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, Apalachee Quarterly, The Ekphrastic Review, Lavender Review, Panoply, Rhino, SWWIM and in 2021, Finishing Line Press, New Women’s Voices Series – the chapbook, Inventory. The City of West Palm Beach has her Flash Fiction dispensed through reading vending machines. Stacie is the former moderator of a poetry talk show in Miami, and currently, Essays Editor for the South Florida Poetry Journal.

Space Is limited. Online registration and payment required. Walk-ins welcome if tickets remain on the day of the program.
