Join us for an Exhibition Insights titled What Roles Can Art Play In Our Lives with John Yau, acclaimed poet, art critic and author, a concert with singer songwriter Keith Michaud, an Artist Tour with artist Armando Droulers that will visit the Fisher Landau and Ganek collections exhibitions, and an Open Studio with the Norton’s Teaching Artist Ari Kijanka inspired by Jasper Johns.

Exhibition Insights / What Roles Can Art Play In Our Lives?
John Yau, acclaimed poet, art critic and author, discusses the major artists in the Fisher Landau and Ganek collections whom he has known (such as Jasper Johns, Richard Artschwager, and Ken Price) and whose work he has observed through a career dedicated to close observation and nuanced critique.
Space is limited: tickets available one hour before program time.

Open Studio
Join our drop-in Open Studio with Teaching Artist, Ari Kijanka, for a night of making mixed media Pop paintings inspired by the great Jasper Johns.

Concert / Keith Michaud
Keith Michaud is a Connecticut-born singer and songwriter who transplanted to South Florida in 2000. Since his arrival, he has released 3 albums with band Summer Blanket as well as 4 albums of his later solo material. All are currently available on Bandcamp. Keith will be playing selections from across these 7 recordings, as well as unreleased new material from his new band The Lightworkers, formed during the pandemic. Keith has won awards from the New Times, Palm Beach Post, Sun-Sentinel and City Link magazines including Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year. He has no plan of retiring. Ever.

Artist Tour / Armando Droulers
South Florida-based artist Armando Droulers will lead informal, 30-minute gallery conversations on works in the special exhibitions A Remarkable Gathering: The Fisher Landau Family Collection and The Howard and Judie Ganek Collection.
About the Artist:
Armando Droulers is an art historian, educator, and lecturer. He studied at Bard College, Academia de Arte Federico Brandt, New World School of the Arts, and the University of Florida. He lectures extensively on art and culture at universities, museums, cultural centers, corporate events, and cruise ships. He also organizes international art and culture tours and art and wine events. He has lived in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States, and speaks fluent English, French and Spanish. -

Attending Art After Dark
Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.
Entry: Please note daily capacity is limited and advance, timed-ticket reservations are encouraged to help ensure a safe and enjoyable visiting experience for all. To attend in-person Art After Dark programs, reserve a timed ticket.

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.
Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton is fully operational, and seating available outdoors with a view of our Sculpture Garden and in the Restaurant. Along with great food, The Restaurant can be enjoyed with creative cocktails, wine, or champagne. Reservations recommended at OpenTable.com
Admission: Art After Dark is included with museum admission. As always, members enjoy free museum admission.
