Tour is limited to 25 visitors. Pick up your tour wristband at the Reception Desk one hour before the tour.

Join Teaching Artist Katherine Hofmann in a clay pendant-making project inspired by Claude de Noria's piece on view.

Artist Talk / A Conversation with Artist Lee Chun-yi

Join us for a virtual conversation with Artist Lee Chun-yi and Assistant Professor of Chinese Art History at the National Taiwan Normal University, Henning von Mirbach, to discuss Heart Sutra Landscape, which is on view in Art of the Word: Calligraphy and Chinese Artists. Lee's unique, brushless technique draws inspiration from ink rubbings of ancient texts carved into stone, such as the Heart Sutra, which he repeats nine times across this 11 1/2-foot handscroll. Discover how and why Lee used the text of the Heart Sutra as a grid-like foundation to create a panoramic view of mountains shrouded in mist.

Music / Abstract Citizen

Experience the innovative sounds of Abstract Citizen, a jazz group pushing boundaries and blending genres. Under the wide umbrella of “modern jazz,” the band composes, arranges, and pushes their music to sound organic, honest, and fresh.

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Free for Members. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance.

Parking: Parking is available across the street from the Museum at 1501 South Dixie Highway. The parking rate is $3 per hour, limited to a maximum session of three hours. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
