  • Curator Conversations / Chaim Gross: Bodies in Motion

    Sasha Davis, Executive Director of the Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation joins Ellen Roberts, Harold and Anne Berkley Smith Curator of American Art, to discuss the artist Chaim Gross, subject of the Norton’s current exhibition, Chaim Gross: Bodies in Motion. Celebrating Tomoko Supak’s recent gift of Gross’s sculpture Standing Figure of 1936, this exhibition uses the Norton’s two sculptures and five works on paper by Gross to explore this artist’s mastery of representing the human form moving in space.


    Tickets for this talk will be available from Visitor Experience staff one hour before the talk begins.

  • Live Music / Brasoul

    Multidisciplinary artist Paloma Dueñas, born in Mexico City, leads the ensemble Brasoul. Started as a collaborative project to celebrate Brazilian music, Brasoul performs an eclectic blend of jazz standards and contemporary soul music with Brazilian rhythms and instrumentation.

  • Open Studio with artist Jose Mendez

    Create your own sculpture inspired by Chaim Gross using air day clay, clay tools and your imagination. Chaim Gross was known for his hardwood carvings, figurative sculptures, and graphic work. What will you create with your clay?

    All materials are included. Open to all ages and levels of artistic talent!

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
