South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

  • Join a tour!

    Choose between tours of the special exhibitions High Fashion & Street Style or Joseph Stella: Visionary Nature.

    Pick up your tour wristband at the Reception Desk one hour before the tour.

  • Open Studio

    Start the new chapter of 2023 by creating a fold book with guest teaching artist, Jose Luis Garcia. Inspired by the High Fashion & Street Style exhibition, use the booklet design your own “mood board” using imagery inspired by fashion and photography, and add in your own affirmations and resolutions.

    Jose Luis Garcia is a visual artist and educator who earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida and their Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Florida International University. Garcia has taught various K-12 educational residencies as a Teaching Artist with Arts for Learning Miami, led workshops with Miami Dade Public Libraries' The Vasari Project, is an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus, Broward College North Campus, and teaches Photography at New World School of the Arts in the Highschool Division. Garcia is a current artist-in-residence at Laundromat Art Space in Little Haiti, FL.

  • Music / DJ Lordjazz

    Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, DJ Lordjazz formed the group Lords of the Underground while attending Shaw University and became the inaugural BET Award winner with the platinum album Here Come the Lords. Lordjazz's career has spanned more than twenty-five years, encompassing hip-hop's Golden Age in the nineties.

    While loving all genres of music, Lordjazz loves playing music that is unknown to the average listener; he's a believer in breaking in new material and having a good time doing it. Tonight's set will be an eclectic mix of deep house, funky grooves and breakbeats, soul, and hip-hop.

  • Guías in the Galleries

    The Guía Program is a dual-language school partnership with International Spanish Academy students from John I. Leonard High School. In a humanities class led by Norton staff divided between the classroom and the Museum, these thirteen teens also acquire skills to interact with all types of visitors at the Museum and how to start conversations about art in the galleries. Engage with the Guías in English and Spanish in the High Fashion & Street Style exhibition every Friday of the show’s run!

    Want a keepsake of your night? Snap a New Year’s themed selfie in the Great Hall. Email, text, or AirDrop the pics to yourself and your loved ones, and print a copy to keep!

  • Great Gatsby Murder Mystery Dinner

    Transport back to the Roaring Twenties with a Great Gatsby Murder Mystery Dinner, hosted by the Restaurant at the Norton. Guests will enjoy a four-course meal and an interactive dinner theater show, all inclusive.

    Cost: $150 per person (inclusive of tax & gratuity, and wine & beer). Registration required. RSVP here.
