ArtSpeaks: Peter J. Cohen in Conversation with Lauren Richman

Join Lauren Richman, Ph.D., William and Sarah Ross Soter Senior Curator of Photography, and New York collector Peter J. Cohen for a public conversation on vernacular photography, collecting, and the afterlives of anonymous images. Presented in conjunction with Cursed Images: Pictures Out of Context, an exhibition featuring works from a gift from the Cohen Collection — one of the largest privately held archives of anonymous photographs in the United States — this program explores the enduring appeal of everyday snapshots: photographs once made to preserve ordinary moments, now separated from their original contexts and open to new interpretation.
