ArtSpeaks: Roxane Ilias on Ralph Coburn and Participatory Art
Friday, October 23, 6 PM – 7 PM
Join Roxane Ilias, from Sorbonne University, for a conversation on Ralph Coburn and postwar abstract art. At the center of transatlantic exchanges that connected Europe and the Americas after 1945, the talk situates Coburn within a new generation of artists who transformed painting from a fixed image into an expanded sensory experience, rethinking its formats, modes of representation, and even the relationship with the viewer.
