ArtSpeaks | The Leiden Collection

Friday, October 24 / 6PM-7PM

Join us for a public conversation between Thomas Kaplan, founder of The Leiden Collection, the finest collection of Dutch Old Master paintings in private hands, and the Collection’s Senior Advisor, Arthur K. Wheelock Jr, who served for many years as curator of Northern Baroque painting at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Their freeflowing discussion will cover a range of topics, including the character of The Leiden Collection, the distinctive qualities of Dutch art, particularly works by Rembrandt, and some of the highlights in the special exhibition Art and Life in Rembrandt’s Time: Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection.
