Curator Conversations

Throughout the year during free, public presentations, Norton curators provide insight and context to exhibitions they have organized and art and artists they have studied and admire.

Curator Conversation / Landscapes Inspired by Old Masters

Friday, May 24 / 6PM

Laurie Barnes, Elizabeth B. McGraw Senior Curator of Chinese Art, illustrates how Wu Hong (1615-1680) and Zhou Kai (1779-1837) used works by past Chinese masters as catalysts for their personal creativity by presenting images of and ideas about landscapes created as early as the 900s inspired these two artists.

Space is limited; online registration required. Walk-ins welcome if tickets remain on the day of the program.

Cost: Museum Admission / Members FREE
