How do we foster conversations with students around the themes of cultural heritage and identity, using Mexican Modernist art as inspiration? Teachers are invited to learn about Mexican Modernists artists, have an exclusive look at the exhibition Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection, and participate in a hands-on workshop where you can collaborate with colleagues to generate ideas about art and identity to utilize in the classroom. After the workshop, stay to enjoy Art After Dark and Jazz Friday in the Garden.

This program features a talk titled The Art of Affirming the Cultural Diversity of Hispanic/Latino, by special guest, Patricia Trejo, Administrative Program Planner for Hispanic/Latino Studies.

District of Palm Beach County teachers will receive in-service points for attending this workshop by registering through e-Learning.
