The exhibition, For the Record: Celebrating Art by Women includes the monumental ceramic sculpture, Weeping Woman, created by the San Francisco Bay artist Viola Frey. During her five-decade career, Frey produced a substantial body of work, including paintings, drawings and sculptures. In 2000, Frey co-founded Artists’ Legacy Foundation to encourage artists to consider their own legacies and how their estates could support other artists. The Foundation also serves as an educational resource for artists, scholars and the public. Join the Foundation’s Director of Administration and Development, Julia Schwartz, and Director of Collections and Archives, Cynthia de Bos, for a conversation exploring Viola Frey’s career and the Artists’ Legacy Foundation’s unique vision and history.
