World Tai Chi & Chi Kong Day
“World Tai Chi & Chi Kong Day” is an international event that is celebrated around the world every year on the last Saturday in April. Every country celebrates the event at 10 am, local time, to achieve a “wave” effect that will travels around the globe.
The purpose of the event is to allow Tai Chi and Chi Kong instructors to meet other practitioners of these health-benefiting exercises to exchange ideas, make new friends, and to introduce these forms to people who are not familiar with them and would like to learn them.
Tai Chi and Chi Kong are closely related exercises that lead to better balance, lower blood pressure, and stress reduction, with regular practice. They share the concept of building and preserving the “Chi”, or vital energy within the body that will lead to a long, and harmonious life.
These exercises have evolved from similar ones practiced in ancient China. They are easy to learn and their beneficial results increase with daily practice. If you are practicing or teaching these forms, or if you would like to see, learn, and participate in this event, please join us. Everyone of any age or level of ability is welcome!
This is a FREE program!
