Landscapes Inspired by Old Masters

Discover how Zhou Kai and Wu Hong used works by past Chinese masters as catalysts for their personal creativity. Inscriptions on seven album leaves and a hanging scroll reveal that the artists were seeking, as Wu writes, to capture the “beauty and spirit” of works made as early as the 900s.

Organized by the Norton Museum of Art. This exhibition was made possible by the generosity of John and Heidi Niblack.

Holiday Hours Alert

The Norton will not be hosting Art After Dark this week in observance of the holiday.

However, we will be open during the day on Friday, July 4, from 10 am until 5 pm, making it perfect for a relaxing visit before your evening plans. Our regularly scheduled programming of tours, art activities, and more will return next Friday as usual.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day!
