What’s New: Recent Acquisitions

What’s New: Recent Acquisitions highlights some of the latest works to enter the Norton’s collection. Consisting of drawings, paintings and prints from the 1970s to 2016, the installation includes a diverse sampling of imagery and techniques from a cross-section of artists including Ellsworth Kelly, David Hockney, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, Francesco Clemente and Peter Doig, among others. From the tactile, layered oil painting by Richard Pousette-Dart to the verticality of a Sean Scully woodcut, What’s New is a glimpse into the Norton’s growing collection of contemporary art acquired through the generosity of individual patrons as well as the Museum’s acquisition committees.
