Frequently Asked Questions: Group Tours

I have completed the online request form. What happens next?

Kim Coleman, Senior Visitor Experience Manager or a Visitor Experience Team Member will contact you. Please allow 48-72 hours for a response. You may also receive an email with a tour contract based on your request form. Please note that a tour reservation is only confirmed once the $150 deposit is paid, and the signed contract received.

Are small groups able to reserve a tour?

For groups that have less than ten people, the minimum payment is the equivalent of the total fee for ten people. As an alternative, we also offer Public Tours. Wristbands to participate in Public Tours are available at the reception desk one hour before the scheduled tour time and offered on a first-come first-served basis. You can find the current schedule for Public Tours at https://www.norton.org/visit/tours

Where is the best place to park?

Norton’s main parking lot is located at 1501 S Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, directly across Dixie Highway from the Museum’s main entrance. Bus parking can also be found toward the rear of the lot. With your tour package, the $5 parking fee is waived. A parking pass is provided by the Tour Coordinator.

Groups can use the drop-off circle located on the corner of South Dixie Highway and Jefferson Road; however, vehicles must park in the main lot on Dixie Highway.

Is there a place to store items?

Lockers are available free of charge at reception. Please note that backpacks and bags exceeding 16x16x8 inches, beverages, umbrellas, and food are not allowed in gallery spaces.

Are there food options available at the museum?

Yes! Light bites and beverages are available from our Coffee Bar or enjoy views of our sculpture garden while dining in The Restaurant. You can find more information about menus and reservations at https://www.norton.org/TheRestaurant.

How can Group Tours meet the accessibility needs of our group?

Manual wheelchairs and walkers are available free of charge on a first-come, first-come basis upon request at the reception desk. Arrangements for an American Sign Language Interpreter can be made available with three weeks’ notice. For a tour for people with disabilities, please contact Senior Visitor Experience Manager, Kim Coleman at 561-832-5196 or [email protected]

How many docents will I have for my tour?

One docent is assigned for every fifteen to twenty people. You will have until five days before your tour date to modify the number of guests and will adjust the number of docents accordingly. Specific docents can be requested but are scheduled according to their availability.
