  • Open Studio / Guest Teaching Artist Jasmin Flores

    Join Guest Teaching Artist Jasmin Flores to create a sugar skull mask in celebration of Día de los Muertos.

  • Curator Conversation / Laurie Barnes

    Laurie Barnes, Elizabeth B. McGraw Senior Curator of Chinese Art, will present a talk about two artforms which have maintained worldwide popularity for centuries: Chinese and Japanese blue-and-white porcelain and indigo-dyed textiles. The exhibition, Classic Blues, highlights the decorative techniques of hand-painting and stenciling used across both media on porcelain objects and textiles.

  • Live Music / Arturo Romay

    Guitarist and composer Arturo Romay was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. His talent and passion have the power to awaken your child-like inner love for the guitar. His ability for composition, rhythm and melodies of many different styles is evidence of his mastery of musical interpretation. He has performed with Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Ricardo Montaner, and countless other world-class musicians. He has also performed at top venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Blue Note.

  • Artist Tour / Amy S. Broderick

    Join local artist Amy S. Broderick for a tour of special works on view. Amy is the Associate Professor of Drawing and Painting and Director of the Studio Foundations Program at FAU. 

    Amy S. Broderick is Associate Professor of Drawing and Painting and Director of the Studio Foundations Program at Florida Atlantic University. In her studio work, she uses the processes of drawing, photography, and paper construction to note the specific topography of everyday life. Amy has exhibited her work in over 150 exhibitions since 2019, most recently in the solo exhibitions, Office Hours, at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Gathered Atlas, at Resource Depot in West Palm Beach, and Ledger & Loom, at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County. Amy graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William and Mary, and she earned her MFA in Painting from Maryland Institute College of Art, where she studied with Grace Hartigan. She lives in Jupiter with her husband, Mark, and their sons.
