Art After Dark mixes art and entertainment every Friday night! Enjoy live performances, film screenings, art workshops, and more. Programs are currently being presented both in-person and online.



Love is in the air at Art After Dark! Enjoy an artist talk by Maria Magdalena Compos-Pons and a piano recital by Kaleidoscope MusArt. Bring a plus-one and join us for a couple drawing in the galleries. Explore stories of love and lust in European Art and mythological paintings during our Express Tour. Then, dance the night away at our Silent Disco Mix and Mingle.

    Gamin by Augusta Savage and Head of a Woman by Pablo Picasso

  • Open Studio: Through Your Eyes

    Grab a partner and take turns describing works of art for the other to draw without looking. See how well you communicate by comparing it to the original!

  • Arts Leader Lecture Series: María Magdalena Campos-Pons

    Cuban Artist María Magdalena Campos-Pons’ artistic practice includes photography, painting, performance, video, and mixed media installations. Hey work featured in the exhibition The Body Says, I Am a Fiesta investigates autobiographical issues of history, race, memory, and gender, her work explores how these complex themes inform identity. 

    Free tickets are available one hour before the presentation on a first-come, first-served basis.

    30 minute gallery tour of Old Masters highlighting love in mythology.

    Come with old friends or make new friends! Grab a drink, and dance the night away at our silent disco featuring 3 channels of music!

  • Concert: Kaleidoscope MusArt

    Three pianists play some of the most famous classical pieces by some of the most famous composers, including Debussy, Chopin, Beethoven, and Barber.

Attend Art After Dark programs in person

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 7 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Please note daily capacity is limited and advance, timed-ticket reservations are required to help ensure a safe and enjoyable visiting experience for all. To attend in-person Art After Dark programs, reserve a timed ticket for entry between 4 pm and 6 pm.

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton is open for limited take-away and quick-service food and beverage, with socially-distanced seating available outdoors and in the Restaurant. Along with great food, The Restaurant can be enjoyed with creative cocktails, wine, or champagne.

How to attend this concert

This concert is free with museum admission. Currently, the museum is offering timed ticket entry. For more information and to reserve a timed ticket, click here.  

This is an outdoor performance, weather permitting. Capacity is strictly limited. Seating is limited, guests are encouraged to bring blankets to enjoy the concert on the lawn. Guests are not permitted to bring in lawn chairs.  

Please stay home if you have any symptoms of coronavirus. All guests are required to wear masks to enjoy the concert and maintain 6 feet separation before, during, and after the show.

The Norton Museum of Art COVID-19 Policies

MASKS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES


The health and safety of our guests is a top priority for the Norton Museum. Beginning October 1, 2021, guests (ages 12+) visiting the Norton Museum of Art will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 professionally administered PCR test taken within 72 hours; or a negative COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test conducted within 24 hours; OR voluntarily show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (together with a valid photo ID for ages 18+). 
"At-home” COVID-19 tests are not accepted. Professionally administered tests only.

Masks are required at all times regardless of negative tests or vaccination status,
except when visiting the Museum Garden or while actively eating or drinking in The Restaurant or Great Hall

This policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other authoritative or controlling government-issued health standards.
