Bemis will explore how our built environments influence mood, behavior, and well-being, shedding light on the intersection of neuroscience, design, and architecture. Understanding the psychological impact of color and lighting provides deeper insight into how spaces can enhance or diminish our sense of comfort, focus, and emotional balance.

Jason Bemis
Jason Bemis is a native Vermonter currently practicing in the fields of color design, biomimicry, and strategic branding. He works in collaboration with the AICCE and IACC to develop innovative, experiential-based curricula and lectures that bridge science, design, and the human experience. As a lead lecturer for AICCE/IACC (American Information Center for Color and Environment/ International Association of Color Consultants), he brings a unique interdisciplinary approach that weaves together expertise as a musician, artist, naturalist, and designer.
Integrating knowledge, training, and passion across art, music, and color to reveal the deep connections between human perception, nature, and built environments, his lectures and workshops explore the physiological and psychological dimensions of color, sound, and visual rhythm, offering transformative insights into how these elements can be used to create healthier, more emotionally intelligent environments. He emphasizes the role of sensory integration in shaping environments that nourish well-being, community, and creativity.
