Olujimi Dance Theater
Saturday, March 7 / 12:30 pm
OMI is an experimental work that –through song, dance, and text – explores the ecological, spiritual, and social relationships of three women and their intimate connection to nurturing, to water, and to climate change. The program is offered as part of the Museum’s inaugural Women’s Walk Community Day.
Michelle Grant-Murray is Artistic Director of Olujimi Dance Theatre. She has presented work in Europe, Asia, South America, the United States and the Caribbean; is founder of the Black Artist Talk; author of Beyond the Surface: An Inclusive American Dance History; and Associate Professor of Dance at Miami-Dade College.
