In this experimental workshop, participants will make images inspired by writing, writing inspired by images, and work that blends the two. Learn a range of techniques such as gelatin plate printmaking, monotype drawing, collage, and simple book structures. Activities will include daily writing and drawing prompts. Susan Webster is a visual artist and printmaker who has taught at Penland School of Crafts and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Stuart Kestenbaum is the author of five collections of poems and the former director of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine.
