ARTSPEAKS: ROXANE ILLIAS ON RALPH COBURN AND PATICIPATORY ART
Join Roxane Ilias, Ph.D. fellow at Sorbonne University, for a conversation about the work of Ralph Coburn. She will examine how painting transformed as an artistic medium after World War II and explore the cross-cultural exchange of artistic techniques and styles between American and European artists.

MUSIC: FUSHU DAIKO
Founded in 1990, Fushu Daiko is a South Florida-based taiko drumming ensemble that delights and energizes the community through dynamic performances, concerts, and workshops. The group has performed in Germany, Brazil, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and during the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.
Fushu Daiko’s founders, Yoshiko and Charles Cane, were a couple who practiced traditional Japanese dance and theater. The Canes began building taiko drums at their home in Plantation, FL, and training with taiko masters Seiichi Tanaka, founder of San Francisco Taiko Dojo, and Takemasa Ishikura, founder of Matsuriza and Orlando Taiko Dojo.

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.
Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Free for Members. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance.
How to get here: The Norton Museum of Art is located at 1450 S. Dixie Hwy., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. For more information, click here.
Parking: Parking is available across the street from the Museum at 1501 South Dixie Highway. The parking rate is $3 per hour, limited to a maximum session of three hours. Norton Members park for free.
Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
