South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

Art After Dark / Jazz Friday: Group'O

Friday, October 7 / 7PM-10PM

Jazz Friday is BACK, bringing you the Brazilian/Latin/jazz fusion sounds of Group'O-- a power trio featuring musicians Santiago Galeano (Argentina) on keyboard, Otto Santana (Cuba) on drums, and Patricia Ligia (Uruguay) on bass. Explore your creative side with teaching artist Aurora Rincon and create a composition of organic shapes using felt, inspired by artist Jean Arp. Tour our incredible permanent collection with our knowledgeable docents, in both English and español.

  • Open Studio

    Join teaching artist Aurora Rincon for this hands-on artmaking workshop inspired by artist Jean Arp. This workshop provides a great opportunity for participants to create their own individual expression designing an organic/geometric shape composition. 

    All ages and experience levels welcome. Materials included.

  • Jazz Friday / Group'O

    Group’O is a jazz power trio featuring on this occasion, Santiago Galeano (Argentina) on keyboard, Otto Santana (Cuba) on drums, and Patricia Ligia (Uruguay) on bass. The unique background of each band member puts on the table a whole new palette of colors and offers a peculiar take on Brazilian and Latin music in general. Ligia's Group’O takes the best of three worlds to converge it into an unforgettable music experience.

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
