  • Join a Tour!

    Join docent-led tours of the special exhibitions on view, including Joseph Stella: Visionary Nature, and A Personal View on High Fashion & Street Style: Photographs from the Nicola Erni Collection, 1930s to Now.

    Pick up your tour wristband at the Visitor Experience reception desk one hour before the tour.

  • Public Panel Discussion

    FEMINIST SOCIAL PRACTICES – WOMEN ARTISTS AND CURATORS TODAY

    New Wave Art Wknd 2022 hosts an engaging conversation featuring women artists and curators who have a distinct focus on activism within their practices. Moderated by the Norton’s Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Arden Sherman, the discussion will center on each panelists’ distinct approaches to representation and social engagement.

  • Open Studio

    Recreate nature through your eyes using coffee filters and watercolors with Teaching Artist Aurora Rincon, inspired by the special exhibition Joseph Stella: Visionary Nature.

  • Tropical Sonata: Inside the Botanical Imagery of Joseph Stella

    In partnership with Mounts Botanical Garden, this discussion is an in-depth look into the kinds of plants and landscapes depicted by Stella in his artworks and how they relate to his life and ideology. Palmer Crippen, Horticulturalist at Mounts Botanical Garden, will be joined by Norton docent C.J. McCartney for this lively gallery talk.

  • Live Music / Totem Cave

    Totem Cave explores the depths of improvisation, while navigating different musical styles with a distinctive sound. Its musical fabric weaves elements of Afro-Peruvian and Brazilian music with Jazz and Funk.

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
