Open Studio: Art Workshops Join local teaching artists as they lead drop-in style art-making sessions. All ages and experience levels welcome. Materials included.

South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

Celebrate summer at the Norton’s free annual teen party and enjoy an open mic, Silent Disco After Party, teen snack bar, and more! Bring a friend or two, and revel in the arts at the Norton!

  • TGIF! Meditation

    Join Internationally certified mindful meditation teacher, Wenji on Friday evenings for a modern meditation session for people with busy lives and busy minds.

    This program will help you reduce stress and transition to mindful tranquility, then enjoy the Museum and weekly Art After Dark programs.

    All are welcome; no experience needed.

  • Outreach Exhibition Reception

    Celebrate Norton's Outreach Exhibition at a receptions featuring remarks by Yimarie Rivera, the Associate Curator of Education, Family and Outreach Programs.

  • Open Studio: Jacob Marrero

    Jacob Marrero is a recent graduate of Design and Architecture Senior High in Miami and an incoming freshman at Maryland Institute College of Art. He will host a self-explorative drag workshop guiding participants though making personas based on their identities and highlighting the impact of drag locally.

  • Norton Cinema: Shorts on Florida Youth

    Enjoy a screening of three short award-winning documentaries focused on teens from Pahokee: Skip Day, The Rabbit Hunt, and The Send-Off. Afterwards, Directors Ivete Lucas and Patrick Bresnan and teens who participated in the documentaries will engage in a public conversation about the films moderated by Teens from Norton's Teen Advisory Squad.

  • Open Mic followed by Silent Disco After Party

    Teens are invited to share their talents on the Norton stage and then dance the night away at a silent disco after party hosted by Silent Revolution! Jam out to different tunes while the djs battle to play the most enticing tunes!

Calling all youth musicians!

If you love pina-coladas and getting caught in the rain... no but really, if you and/or your band would like to perform at teen night fill out the form below! All styles and forms of music are welcome including spoken word, poetry, jazz, blues, and more! 

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
