South Florida-based artists lead informal, 30-minute gallery talks about works in the Norton’s collection and special exhibitions.

Art After Dark: February 28

Every last Friday of the month is a Pop Session, Art After Dark gets louder and looser! Tim B. Wride, the William and Sarah Ross Soter Curator of Photography, introduces the artists featured in this year’s Rudin Prize for Emerging Photographers exhibition. Enjoy live music in our garden by Gold Dust Lounge and an express tour featuring The Body Says, I Am a Fiesta: The Figure in Latin American Art exhibition.

  • The Rudin Prize for Emerging Photographers: A Conversation

    Tim B. Wride, the Norton’s William and Sarah Ross Soter Curator of Photography, introduces the artists featured in this year’s exhibition and leads a conversation about their art on opening night. The Norton presents the Rudin Prize for Emerging Photographers exhibition to introduce an international group of innovative young artists whose work is photography-based, awarding one of the artists the $20,000 Rudin prize.

  • Pop Session Music: Gold Dust Lounge

    Join us for a Pop Session concert in the garden! Gold Dust Lounge makes soundtracks for imaginary films, their cinematic sound has been described as "Surf Noir" and "Shoegaze Americana”. Guitarist/composer, Russell Mofsky, takes familiar sounds and references to create a nostalgic blend of retro surf rock, ambient instrumentals, and acid jazz. This concert takes place in the Goergen Garden so bring a blanket to enjoy the show!

Attending Art After Dark

Hours: The museum is currently open to the public until 10 pm on Friday nights.

Entry: Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance

Parking: Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free.

Food and drink: The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden. Along with great food, The Restaurant serves creative cocktails, wine, and champagne. Reservations available through Tock.
